The ICESS08 invitation letter has been sent to each registered paper author. If you haven't received it, please contact with Prof. Bing Guo at guobing@scu.edu.cn.

The final program is available.

ICESS-2008 will be held as planned (Chengdu is not the epicenter of the quake and everthing is fine there).

The venue and accommodation are available.

The problem for pdf eXpress accounts from IEEE CS has been fixed, and they work for both main conf. and symposia now. Please strictly follow the instruction and make sure you submit both the Copyright Form and Your Final Paper before the deadline.

The emails for "author kit" have been sent out in 6 April 2008. Please contact Prof. Bing Guo at guobing@scu.edu.cn if you did not receive it. Currently, there are some setting problems from IEEE CS for pdf express accounts. We contacted IEEE CS press and they told us that the accounts should work by 14 April 2008.

This year, we received a huge number of submissions, and only very few papers are accepted. The accepted papers will be published into two volumes: Volume I is for ICESS-08 main conference and Volume II for ICESS-08 Symposia. ICESS-08 Symposia (Volume II) includes: ICESS-08 Symposium on Hardware/Software Optimization for Embedded Systems (ISHSO-08), ICESS-08 Symposium on Advances in Mobile and Networked Embedded Systems (AMNES-08), ICESS-08 Symposium on Industrial Embedded Applications (ISIEA-08)).

The ICESS-08 proceedings (both Volumes I and II) will be published by IEEE CS press (indexed by EI). The page limits are: 8 pages for the main conference; 6 pages for the ICESS-08 symposia. The authors can buy up to 2 extra pages. The format is IEEE CS Conference two-column format (IEEE CS press will will contact you shortly with details of how to prepare and submit your camera-ready paper.).

The notification was sent out in March 27, 2008. If you did not received it, please contact Dr. Zili Shao at cszlshao@comp.polyu.edu.hk.

The submission website is close (We will not accept any more submission by any means. Please consider other conferences. Thanks.) For the convenience of reviewing, the authors cannot access their submissions with the submission links during the review peroid. So it is NORMAL if you could not access your submission.

The paper submission deadline has been extended to Feb. 10, 2008 (Sunday,23:59,Beijing Time, UTC/GMT +8 hours) due to numerous delay requests (Note: This will be the final deadline and no further extension will be given).

Introduction to ICESS
With the advent of VLSI system level integration and system-on-chip, the center of gravity of the computer industry is now moving from personal computing into embedded computing. Embedded software and systems are increasingly becoming a key technological component of all kinds of complex technical systems, ranging from vehicles, telephones, aircraft, toys, security systems, to medical diagnostics, weapons, pacemakers, climate control systems, and so on.
The ICESS (International Conference of Embedded Software and Systems) provides a forum for scientists, engineers, and researchers to discuss and exchange their new ideas, novel results, work in progress and experiences on all aspects of embedded software and systems.
